Watercolor (from Italia. aquarello) means painting with water based paints.

There are several varieties of watercolor techniques:

There are several types of stained glass depending on the technique of its manufacture:

Classic stained glass (Tiffany technology) – made of transparent pieces of glass held by partitions of soft metal or plastic.
Overhead stained glass-obtained by fusing technology sintering, sometimes gluing elements on the base, with no metal connections between the glasses.
Painted stained glass-on the surface of the glass is applied a pattern of transparent paints.
Film stained glass-on the surface of the glass is glued lead tape and colored self-adhesive film (English technology).
Combined stained glass-formed by a combination of different technologies to create stained glass.

Silk embroidery

There are several varieties of silk embroidery:

Xian embroidery appeared in the Changsha area of Hunan province. This style is characterized by its color contrasts; Xian embroidery is often done in black and white with transitions through shades of gray, which gives the effect of three-dimensionality.
Guangdong embroidery is known in the Chaoju area of Guangdong province and is characterized by the use of bright colors and symmetrical but intricate embroidery details, which allows us to compare this style with some examples of Western fine art.
Sichuan embroidery was born in Chengdu, Sichuan province. It is the oldest style of embroidery in Chinese history: silk samples with fragments of Sichuan embroidery were discovered more than 3,000 years ago in a mummy’s sarcophagus in Egypt. Satin and silk are used in this style, Sichuan embroidery is mainly used to decorate the covers of quilt, pillowcases, garments and shoes.
Suzhou embroidery-this is the most famous and famous style, which also received (later) the name “Free stitch”, formed in the area of Suzhou, Jiangsu province. This style is characterized by the arbitrary imposition of stitches of silk threads of different lengths and directions, the use of threads of many colors, and in some cases – the splitting of silk thread into individual fibers, heat treatment of silk, and other techniques, proven and worked out over the centuries, which creates absolutely incredible effects at the exposition of works made by masters from Suzhou.

Hot enamel (from FR. email) – enamel technique in which painted metal oxides pasty mass is applied to a specially treated surface and subjected to firing, resulting in a vitreous colored layer.

There are several types of enamels depending on the technique of its manufacture:

Miniature on enamel, finish-technique of artistic enameling, which uses the technique of brush easel painting.
