Information is a valuable thing. Ignorance, in the first place, severely limits one’s possibilities, and in the second place, it allows one to manipulate the ignorant.
Given that music is an important part of our surrounding reality, not just strongly influencing people and society, but shaping them, the degree of losses from our own voluntary ignorance in this area is obvious.
